Bob Paris
grew up in Indiana, playing high school football and track events. It was here that Paris first began lifting weights, leading him down the road to professional bodybuilding where he excelled. It was in 1985 while working out at a gym that he met former Playgirl model Rod Jackson and the two soon fell in love. After Paris officially came out as a gay man, the two became involved in gay marriage advocacy and wrote several books on the subject, as well as made many television and magazine appearances along the way. In 1996,
the two separated due to irreconcilable differences. In December of that same year Bob provided a candid interview for The Advocate talking about the divorce titled "The Other Side of Gay Marriage". Today, Paris is still a strong gay rights advocate as well as a motivational speaker and part time actor. On October 10, 1998, he made his New York stage debut, starring at Carnegie Hall opposite Bea Arthur, Sandy Duncan and Tyne Daly in the Broadway musical, Jubilee as the character Mowgli. Paris currently lives in both Los Angeles and the state of Washington.
